Participants in the Weir Venloop come from all over the world. Because we have many participants and visitors from the Netherlands and Germany in particular, we have looked together with VRR and Arriva at how we can ensure that these participants can travel to the Weir Venloop as comfortably as possible by public transport and we can all do our bit for the environment.
Thus, starting this year, a VRR combo ticket is automatically linked to the starting ticket of all our German participants. This allows them to travel free all day by train from North Rhine-Westphalia to Venlo and back on both Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26.
Our Dutch participants can travel extra cheaply by train throughout Limburg during the weekend of our event, on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 March 2023. They receive a 20% discount on a round trip with Arriva. This e-ticket can be ordered through the link on our website.
The start and finish are a stone’s throw from Venlo Central Station and the bus station. This makes it ideal to attend our event by public transportation. Participants get off the bus and/or train and don’t have to worry about parking their car, and that way we are environmentally conscious too!
