Yes, I’m part of the Dream Team!

My name is Hanneke Hollanders-Scheepers. Born in Tegelen and raised in Blerick and Venlo. I am 46 years old and live with my husband René and our kids in Venray.

The Venloop… What an event. For years I have been wanting to participate myself. I never managed to do this, but thanks in part to the Dream Team, I am now taking on this challenge and I am already looking forward to March 24, 2024. For once not as a supporter on the sidelines, but in action on the (Hopefully) 10km.

In the past I have played handball, but in recent years I have not played any sports.

At the beginning of this year, the switch was made, working on my health and my body.

Partly due to a gastric bypass, I have already lost a huge amount of kilos and therefore a lot fitter.

Since 2-9 I like to get in the car 2 x pw to go training, in Venlo “city of fun and fun” Very happy with trainer Henk, our support Vivian and all other participants of the dream team.

24-3-24 Yes the Venloop:

Today was the day, actually going to run the 10 km at the Venloop. Together with my other 6 dream team toppers (now promoted to dream team family!).

Led by Henk and Vivian and our own efforts of course, we all achieved our goal on this day.

Yes mission accomplished!

From the start on 2-9-2023 we trained hard for this together. I am grateful for this adventure and this opportunity. And also proud of myself that I succeeded and had a lot of fun doing it. Now I also regret that the training under Henk’s guidance together with this fantastic group of people has come to an end. In any case, I want to keep on running, and I will investigate which club or form suits me best. But my goal is to keep on running. Some things are already being planned together… Rundje um ut Hundje… The Seven Hills Trail…and who knows, maybe for myself the Half Marathon next year?

But anyway, first let’s reminisce about this adventure. Finally, special thanks to my dear family for always supporting me during this adventure. All the supporters (you guys were great) and of course Marc and Ralph. If you are now thinking: hey I would like to do this too…. Just do it, it’s really worth it.
